Downeast Photo Contest

I don't often submit photos into contests, but I just happened to be on Downeast Magazines website the other day and decided to submit a few of my old photos.  I submitted three landscapes for consideration.

The First submission was of Ferry Beach located in Scarborough, Maine.  I took this just under two years ago on a cold afternoon as the sun was beginning to set.  You can see the snow in the grassy sand dunes by the beach.  One of the best beaches to catch a sunset.  http://downeast.com/photocontest/?contest=photo-detail&photo_id=45744#img

The second photo that I submitted to the Downeast Magazine photo contest was of a photo I took during the winter of 2014.  I can still remember going out to Bridgton, Maine during the very early hours to take this photo.  The frozen lake was making lots of noises and it was kind of frightening walking out there in the dark, but the views were worth it.  Shawnee Peak is always a great sight at night during the winter time.  http://downeast.com/photocontest/?contest=photo-detail&photo_id=45745#img

The final photo that I submitted to the Downeast Magazine photo contest is of a pond in Sebago, Maine last winter.  It was just starting to freeze over and there was a very thin layer of ice on top of the water.  http://downeast.com/photocontest/?contest=photo-detail&photo_id=45746#img
