Black and White

I really haven't been able to get out and shoot as much as I would have liked this summer.  Yesterday made me realize how much I miss going out and finding spots to shoot.  Just setting up and staying until I get some shots that I am happy with feels so satisfying.  It's hard to describe.  I'm lucky enough to live in a State that has endless possibilities when it comes to Landscape and Nature photography.  The weather is constantly changing and the seasons are vastly different.  There can be a 100 degree difference in temperature from one part of the year to another.  I'm going to make it a point to try and shoot a lot more this Fall and Winter.  Over the years I have grown bitter to Maine Winters.  It is extremely difficult to continue doing photography when it is freezing, snowing, windy, miserable.  However, with those terrible conditions come some of the most amazing picturesque views.  I have seen many photographers venture out on days where I sit inside counting down the days til Spring.  Maybe I need to invest in some better winter equipment.
