Spring Snow - Mount Tom
Spring is here in Maine, but the snow hasn’t stopped yet. We had a couple of weeks where it felt like it was springing into warmer weather, but that didn’t last very long because mother nature decided to drop some more snow on us. While I am excited for the warmer Spring and Summer weather to come I am happy I got to get another small hike in this season with snow. My girlfriend and I decided to hike up Mount Tom in Fryeburg, Maine. We’d driven past it and always wondered what mountain it was and if there were trails, so we finally looked it up and decided to take a quick hike up it. We found some very small prints as we started up the trail and then saw some small deer prints further up the mountain, but other that it was wicked quiet up Mount Tom. At the top of Mount Tom there is a decent view of the river below and of the backside of Pleasant Mountain.
