Crystal Lake And Poland Spring Preservation Park
Whenever the snowy and icy weather finally does break its hold there’s sort of a sadness that I feel. Even though I look forward to warmer weather and being able to do more photoshoots outside, there’s something about the landscape when it’s covered in a blanket of snow and thew water covered in ice. The photo below was taken at Crystal Lake in Harrison, Maine a couple of weeks ago just before the weather got too warm and got my last photo of the ice still partially covering the lake. The photos below that were taken around the same time and were taken at the Poland Spring Preservation Park in Poland, Maine. Very muddy walk through the woods, but I am grateful that the property is there with trails to be able to explore. Most of the photos I took while walking were of the signs that were starting to get swallowed up by the trees that they were fixed to. It makes me wonder how long ago the signs were placed and it makes me wonder what the world might look like if we let Mother Nature take over.
