Burnt Meadow - Brownfield, Maine

This Memorial Day I went on a hike with my girlfriend to Burnt Meadow in Brownfield, Maine. The somewhat small parking lot had about 7 cars in it when we drove by it to check out another local trail. We decided to hike Burnt Meadow and by the time we came back there were 10 cars in the parking lot. The trail at Burnt Meadows is a loop, but we decided to just go up to the summit and then back down the same way to save some time. The bugs were out in full force, but the weather was pretty near perfect for a hike and I’m glad we went. The trail has some areas that are pretty typical for most hikes through the woods and up a mountain, but near the top there is some fun rock scrambling with some pretty awesome views.
