Ferry Beach
The other night my girlfriend and I went out on a sort of random adventure to the ocean. Originally we wanted to go out and look at some stars a bit further North, but with the smoke from the wildfires in Canada, visibility wasn’t very good. By the time we made it to the ocean it was already pretty late, but there were a few other cars there with night owls out adventuring. About 15 years ago I lived pretty close to the ocean and used to go practically everyday. I remember doing a lot of long exposure night photography along the coast in Scarborough and South Portland. I brought my camera along with us on this adventure, but I only took a couple of shots. There were a couple of canoes sitting on the beach and a little boat was heading towards the dock in the distance as I made this image. There is something especially calming about the ocean at night.
