Holt Pond Preserve

I took a walk a little walk at the Holt Pond Preserve in Bridgton, Maine this weekend.  Holt Pond Preserve is home to great walking trails and lots of wildlife can be see here.  Birds can be heard as you drive down the dirt road leading to the trail head and as you walk towards the water you can see lots of frogs and bees.  Though there weren't many green plants abloom when I was walking this weekend, there are often lots of plants along the path that offer a great view of nature that Maine has to offer.  Holt Pond Preserve is maintained by the Lakes Environmental Association and more information about it can be found here.

Trails are pretty obviously marked with white marks along trees, but there are also maps available at the trail head as well as posted along the way.

Many of the boardwalks leading to Holt Pond were flooded as a result of all the melted snow and rain we have gotten this year.
