Stevens Brook - Bridgton, Maine

One of my favorite places to go in Lakes Region is Stevens Brook. Most of the time when I go there it isn’t crowded.. actually usually there isn’t anyone else there at all. I recently went to Stevens Brook in Bridgton and took some long exposure shots. I fine doing long exposures here a fun challenge. There’s a lot of trees and natural growth around but the flowing water makes for tons of potential scenic landscape photos. Below are a few photos I took at Stevens Brook recently with my Fujifilm X100S and tripod. One thing I like about using a tripod is it makes you have to be more deliberate with your compositions when shooting. Sometimes when you’re just walking around with your camera taking photos its easy to not take the time to deliberately set up a shot. Both have their upsides, but I think its fun to force myself to slow down at times and use a tripod. That being said when I get home and go through my photos I also often see things I could have done differently compositionally.
