Pond Cove - Cape Elizabeth, Maine

Below are some photos taken at Cove Pond in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Cove Pond in located just up the road from Fort Williams park and is one of my favorite rocky beach views in Maine.

Here is a photo from the Maine Memory Network of an oil painting by Charles Codman from 1830 of a shipwreck in Pond Cove. I think it’s really interesting to look at places today and see them as they were hundreds of years ago when life was different in so many ways.
